Thomas J. Powell is a reputed and successful financier who has vast experience in the field of commercial banking, private equity, alternative asset management, corporate governance, finance, and investment banking. Over the years, he has gained the reputation for successfully raising institutional and private capital and delving into credit risk and investment analysis, portfolio management, risk mitigation, deal structure, and distressed debt recovery.

About Powell’s career
Thomas's career started back in 1988 at Wells Fargo Bank in Silicon Valley. He got accoladed as the youngest Vice President in the entire 140-year history of the brand. He has recently founded and successfully given shape to a diverse private equity organization, Resolute Capital Partners (RCP.)

RCP can best be described as an alternative asset investment firm specializing in managing and implementing capital all through multiple spectrums, from oil and gas and commercial real estate to innovative venture start-ups. His vast experience and rich education allowed him to lead many organizations via the cyclical market growths and contractions for increased profit. Also, Thomas has a clear understanding of the practical application of money management as a risk response to Wall Street and beyond.

Powell’s business acumen and entrepreneurial vision
Thomas J. Powell is a man who is known for his business prowess and vision. Drawing from the vast corporate experience that he had in Wells Fargo, Thomas responded to his entrepreneurial zest and instinct by coming up with ELP Capital, Inc, which is a company specializing in mortgage banking investment. It is headquartered in Reno, DV. However, in this timeframe, Tom worked as Senior Managing Director for ELP Capital Advisors, which is an affiliated investment company for ELP Capital. Also, ELP Capital Advisor is a Registered Investment Advisor for the ELP Capital Family of Institutional Investors, Funds, and qualified people.

As he was managing ELP, Powell had connected with a partner in Wells Fargo for publishing Six Secrets of Raising Start-Up Capital, which is an academic program. Along with the master class, the book generates a fund-raising medium for small business owners. Additionally, Tom and his partner assisting on the project distilled the vital lessons they both learned during their years of work to raise more than a $2 billion start-up fund for a successful business venture.

Additionally, Thomas is also passionate about international trade and free enterprise. He has also worked as an international instructor and guest lecturer at Harvard University in the Office of Executive Education. That is not all. For more than 40 years, Thomas remained active with the Boys and Girls Club of America as an Executive Committee leader, local board member, and a National Trustee.

Thomas’s leisure activities
There are other things as well where Thomas takes an interest. When he is not caught up with the development of Resolute Capital, he enjoys skiing. For this, he either visits his favorite hometown resort, NorthStar, or any ski destination that attracts his attention. Furthermore, being an outdoor enthusiast, Thomas is an ardent cyclist and a professional ski instructor at Vail Resorts.
